B2 alloy pipe is a solid solution strengthened nickel-molybdenum alloy with significant resistance to reducing environments such as hydrogen chloride gas, sulfuric acid, acetic acid and phosphoric acid. Molybdenum is the primary alloying element and provides significant corrosion resistance in reducing environments.
B2 alloy pipe has excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. B2 alloy pipe also has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and knife line and heat affected zone erosion. Alloy B2 is resistant to pure sulfuric acid and a wide range of non-oxidizing acids.
