2101 stainless steel rod bar has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking due to its dual-phase structure. 2101 stainless steel rod bar has corrosion resistance comparable to 304L and 316L stainless steel. The use of manganese in 2101 stainless steel rod bar ensures a proper ferrite-austenite phase balance while allowing for reduced nickel content. Due to the relatively low alloy content of 2101 stainless steel rod bars, compared with other dual-phase steels, it is less likely to precipitate intermetallic phases.
