High Corrosion Resistance Stainless Steel Bar 2101 For General Purpose Applications
stainless steel 2101 bar is a low-nickel, nitrogen-enhanced lean duplex stainless steel developed for general-purpose use. The austenitic-ferritic (duplex) structure of the alloy is balanced to approximately equal amounts of ferrite and austenite in the solution-annealed condition.

What is the difference between duplex 2101 and 2205?
The stainless steel 2101 bar has a leaner composition than the most common duplex grade 2205. Most striking is the low nickel content of 1.5% compared to 5%, typical of 2205, and 9% for 304 (Table 1). Instead of nickel, stainless steel 2101 bar is alloyed with manganese and nitrogen.
