Ⅰ. Function Inspection and Processing of Raw Materials

For carbon, bonding, bonding, spring, ball, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloy cold drawn billets, in addition to checking the chemical composition, mechanical properties, surface quality, and dimensional tolerances (diameter, length, ellipticity) according to corresponding technical standards, surface quality inspection should also be carried out after acid washing. The inspection and surface defect grinding treatment of the billet after acid washing are generally carried out after the billet is put into production. After treatment, due to the residual sand particles or local iron oxide scales on the cleaned steel surface, a second acid washing is required.

For cold drawn billets of ball bearing steel, tool steel, high-speed steel, and other alloy steels with severe decarburization, the depth of the decarburization layer should also be inspected and controlled.

Cracks, folds, scratches, scars, ears and other defects found during the inspection process that do not exceed half of the absolute pressure should be removed using a hanging grinding wheel and a fixed grinding wheel cleaning machine after acid washing.
