Description
This fiber optic cable employs a high-strength, loose tube design to house 250μm fibers within a high mod-
ulus plastic. These tubes are filled with a waterproof compound and surrounded by a non-metallic FRP str-
ength member at the core. Stranded around this core, the tubes and fillers form a compact cable structure.
To safeguard against water ingress, an Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) is applied around the cable
core. Following this, a thin PE inner sheath is added, reinforced with a layer of kevlar yarn for increased te-
nsile strength. The cable's final layer includes a longitudinally applied PSP for moisture resistance, and it is
encased in a PE outer sheath for overall protection.
