Description

This cable employs either single-mode or multi-mode fibers, housed within a high modulus plastic loose

tube and filled with a water-resistant compound. At the core lies a steel wire, occasionally coated with p-

olyethylene (PE) for higher fiber count cables, serving as the metallic strength member. The tubes and

fillers are meticulously stranded around this central strength member, forming a compact, circular cable

core. Longitudinally applied over this core is the PSP, enhancing water protection. Finally, the cable is

encased with a PE sheath.
