Description
In the cable construction, the fibers are housed within a loose tube made of high modulus plastic, filled with a
water-resistant compound. A central steel wire acts as the metallic strength member in the core. The tubes,
along with fillers, are stranded around the strength member, forming a compact and circular cable core. Follo-
wing this, a Polyethylene (PE) sheath is applied around the cable core, and, accompanied by stranded wires
serving as support, this part of the cable is completed with a Polyethylene (PE) sheath to create a figure 8 str-
ucture. This cable design is specifically intended for self-supporting aerial installations.
