Description:
TP347H is a high carbon austenitic chromium stainless steel. Found in applications that demand high temperature resistance, other major design features include: Similar resistance and corrosion protection as Alloy 304. Used for heavy welded equipment when annealing is not possible.
TP347H is type of precipitation-hardened steels. It possesses many same properties and features of TP347 stainless steel. In addition to its higher carbon content, TP347H is stabilized with an addition of columbium. Because of its elevated resistance to corrosion, TP347H is usually applied in high stress, high corrosion environments where exposure tends to be severe. This steel shows high workability under common welding techniques. It can be treated with heat, however, it will not respond. Only cold working is sufficient to increase TP347H’s toughness and strength.
