What is TP321?
Stainless Steel 321 is an essential austenitic 18/8 steel (Grade 304) that is stabilized by the addition of Titanium (321). It is chosen for its resistance to intergranular corrosion after being exposed to temperatures within the carbide precipitation range of 425-850°C. SS 321 is widely used in applications with temperatures up to approximately 900°C, as it offers high strength, resistance to scaling, phase stability, and resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion. SS 321H, on the other hand, is a modified version of SS 321 with a higher carbon content, resulting in improved strength at high temperatures.
