Overview:
TP304/304L Seamless Tube is an austenitic stainless steel seamless tube that is widely used in various industrial applications due to its excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, and ease of fabrication. The TP304/304L composition includes 18% chromium and 8% nickel providing exceptional resistance to various corrosive environments.
These tubes are commonly used in petrochemical, chemical, power generation, and oil and gas industries where they need to resist harsh and corrosive conditions. This type of tube can also be applied in food and beverage industries as well as in the pharmaceutical industry due to its hygienic properties.
One of the benefits of using TP304/304L Seamless Tubes is its seamless construction. The tubes are produced without welded joints, which makes them more durable and reliable, providing better resistance to high-temperature and high-pressure applications, as well as reducing the risk of leaks.
The tubes come in different sizes and thicknesses, ranging from 1/8 inch to 5 inches in outside diameter, with a wall thickness that may vary from 0.015 inches to 0.500 inches. These tubes are produced using several different manufacturing processes like cold drawing, cold rolling and hot extrusion, and post-production heat treatment.
The TP304L low carbon content helps prevent sensitization and subsequent intergranular corrosion that may occur in some corrosive environments. Additionally, the TP304L seamless tubing is produced to ASTM A213 and A269 standards, ensuring high quality and consistency in its properties.
