A convertor is a device that converts one signal into another.A signal is a form or carrier

in which information exists.In automatic instrument equipment and automatic control system,

one kind of signal is often converted into another signal compared with the standard quantity

or reference quantity, in order to connect the two kinds of instruments, therefore, the converter

is often the intermediate link between two instruments (or devices).

The circuit in which analog signals are converted into digital signals is called analog-to-digital

converter (abbreviated as adc,analog to digital converter d converter). The function of Amax

D conversion is to convert analog signals with continuous time and continuous amplitude into

digital signals with discrete time and discrete amplitude. therefore, Amax D conversion generally

goes through four processes: sampling, holding, quantization and coding.
 

In the actual circuit, some of these processes are combined, for example, sampling and holding,

quantization and coding are often realized at the same time in the conversion process.
