Crystalline aluminum chloride, is an inorganic compound, the molecular formula is AICl3·6H2O, also known as crystalline aluminum trichloride, aluminum chloride hexahydrate, molecular weight 241.43, the appearance of white, orange or light yellow crystals.
In precision casting, crystalline aluminum chloride can be used instead of ammonium chloride as shell hardener for investment casting. It has the advantages of stable quality, high shell strength, convenient adjustment, improved working conditions and good economic benefits.
