The valve features a robust housing, one or two wet-pin electronic solenoids, a control spool, and return springs. It operates by moving the control spool from its rest position to an end position when the solenoid is energized, allowing for precise direction of flow between ports. Upon de-energization, the return springs move the control spool back to its initial position. A manual override feature provides additional flexibility by enabling manual operation in the absence of solenoid power. This model includes throttle inserts which can be used in channels P, A, B, or T to increase flow resistance and accommodate for high-flow conditions that exceed the valve's performance limit.

The 4WE10M3X/CG24N9K4 is available without spring return (type O), or with detent (type OF) for locking the control spool in position and facilitating energy-efficient operation by reducing the need for continuous electric current. The valve supports a 3 or 4-way configuration and comes with high-power AC solenoids that have detachable coils rotatable by 90 degrees. Coils can be replaced without opening the pressure-tight chamber which simplifies maintenance. Electrical connections are versatile with options for individual or central connections. Additionally, an optional auxiliary operating device can be included. With a component series X to X designation, this valve withstands maximum operating pressures of up to 350 bar and handles maximum flow rates of up to 120 l/min.
