Product Overview
KZT hydraulic cylinder wiper seals are designed for excavators and heavy machinery applications. These PTFE-based seals work in combination with anti-wear piston rings to prevent contamination and protect hydraulic systems from foreign particles.
Function and Operation
In hydraulic cylinder applications, dust and sand particles can bond with the oil film on piston rod surfaces. When these contaminants enter the cylinder, they can damage seal lips and piston rod surfaces, leading to fluid leakage. The KZT dust ring is installed in the groove near the cylinder barrel end face to effectively remove contaminants during piston rod movement.
Sealing Mechanism
The dust ring lip maintains close contact with the piston rod surface while providing optimal clearance to minimize friction resistance. This design ensures efficient contaminant removal without compromising performance.
