Material Description
Four common materials are adopted for carrier tapes: PS, PC, PET and ABS.
PS (Polystyrene):The most widely used carrier tape material with high cost performance, suitable for packaging general electronic components.
PC (Polycarbonate):Features high mechanical strength, excellent heat resistance (max operating temperature 125℃) and superior dimensional stability (shrinkage rate ＜0.1%). Ideal for precision components and semiconductor packaging.
PET:Offers good flexibility and favorable cost performance.
ABS:Delivers high strength and outstanding impact resistance.
Widths:8, 12, 16, 24, 32, 44, 56, 72, 88 mm (others on request)
Thickness:0.30 / 0.35 / 0.40 / 0.50 mm
ESD Grades:Conductive (<10⁵ Ω/sq), Dissipative (10⁵–10¹¹ Ω/sq), Insulative (>10¹² Ω/sq)
Pocket Tolerances:Depth ±0.05 mm, Position ±0.1 mm
Reel Compatibility:7″ (180 mm) & 13″ (330 mm) plastic reels
