One Component Adhesive For Rubber To Metal Bonding Agent Thinkbons 911HS
Thinkbond 911HS is a one-coat thermoreactive primer designed for bonding elastomers (NBR, ACM, solid PU) with various substrates including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper alloy, aramid, textile fibers, and glass through vulcanization process. Also effective in two-coat systems with adhesives for bonding various rubber types.

Properly clean metal surfaces to remove oil, grease, and dirt. Grit blast surfaces to achieve >15 µm roughness (use aluminum oxide for aluminum surfaces). Remove all blasting residue dust. Compatible with chemically treated surfaces (galvanizing, phosphating, KTL).
- Agitation: Stir before application to prevent sedimentation
- Dilution: Use MEK or MIBK as diluent
- Dipping: Dilute 50-100% v/v
- Brushing: Dilute 20-50% v/v
- Spray: Dilute 50-100% v/v
15-30 minutes at room temperature. For faster drying: 2 minutes with forced air at ≤65°C. Avoid temperatures above 82°C to prevent pre-cure before vulcanization.
Prolonged vapor inhalation is harmful. Always use with breathing mask, gloves, eye protection, and proper ventilation. Skin contact may cause irritation. Fatal if swallowed - do not induce vomiting; seek immediate medical attention.
