What is Diff Quik Cell Stain?

Mainly used for blood cell smear, bone marrow smear, vaginal discharge (gynecological vaginal discharge) smear, exfoliated cells smear staining. Diff Quik Cell Stain is based on a modification of the Romanowsky Stain method recommended by WHO. Diff Quik Cell Stain has advantages over the older Wright staining technique, as it takes 1 minute and 30 seconds to complete the staining, and has clear background without sediment.

This kit includes acid dye (Eosin) and alkaline dye (Methylene blue). For different cells, the affinity to the stains varies. Thus, the different cells acquire different colors, rendering its shape and characteristics identifiable.

Staining Result

Blood cell smear, bone marrow smear staining: The red blood cells are light red, and the particles in the white blood cell paste are clear, and they show various colors unique to the cells. The nucleus is purple, and the nuclear chromatin structure is clear.
