Description
Chiguard® 101WB is a non-alkaline emulsion with hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) as active ingredient, designed for water-based coating applications. It is particularly suitable for water-dispersible alkyd resins and water-dispersible polyurethanes that are incompatible with the alkaline Chiguard® 353; it is also recommended to be added to systems with acid catalysts, fungicides, etc.
Main product features and advantages
Chiguard® 101WB has many unique advantages:
● The emulsifier content is extremely low, and it is not easy to cause problems such as foaming and demulsification.
● It can be quickly miscible with water-based resins.
● It does not affect the fluidity of the coating.
● It does not contain resins, diluents and thickeners to avoid compatibility problems.
● It does not contain solvents or film-forming aids.
● It can be miscible with other water-based light stabilizers of ChiTi Technology in any proportion to form a uniform emulsion.
Applications
Chiguard ® 101WB is widely used in many waterborne applications that are growing rapidly due to their emphasis on low VOC features; notable examples include:
● Artificial leather and textile PUD coatings for automotive seats and interiors.
● Wood coatings based on water-dispersible alkyd resins.
● Sealants and adhesives based on water-dispersible polyurethanes.
Storage
If stored at room temperature and the sealing integrity of this product is maintained, the shelf life of this product can reach 12 months from the date of manufacture. Once opened, be sure to lock the lid to prevent moisture evaporation. Storage temperatures must not be below 10°C or above 40°C, otherwise it will adversely affect the quality of this product. If demulsification occurs due to excessive storage, please contact our company for assistance.
