Description 

 N,N’-hexane-1,6-diylbis(3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenylpropionamide)). It is a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant and an efficient, non-discoloring stabilizer for organic substrates such as plastics, synthetic fibers and elastomers. Provides low volatility, excellent processing, long–term thermal stability and excellent initial resin color. Irganox® 1098 is superior to copper-based stabilizers with respect to color and extraction resistance. It is suitable for polyacetals, polyester, polyurethanes, polyamide as well as saturated- & unsaturated rubber applications. It is especially suited for the stabilization of polyamide molded parts and films. Recommended dosage level in polyamide is 0.05-0.20% and in polyacetals, polyesters, polyurethanes, saturated & unsaturated rubbers is 0.05-0.5%.

Product properties:
white crystalline powder, soluble in methanol and chloroform, slightly soluble in toluene, almost insoluble in water. Basically non-toxic. Median lethal dose (rat LD50 ≥ 15000mg/kg), many developed countries in the world such as the United States have approved its use in packaging materials that come into contact with food.
 
Uses:
This product is mainly used in polyamides such as nylon 6, nylon 66, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., and can also be used in petrochemical products such as rubber. This product has good compatibility, no initial coloring, low volatility, no pollution, extraction resistance, and low toxicity. The general dosage is 0.1% to 0.5%.
