Description
Chiguard® 5400WB is an emulsion-type UV absorber with hydroxyphenyl triazine (HPT) as the active ingredient, designed for water-based coating applications. It is especially recommended for coatings that are not suitable for general-purpose water-based UV absorbers - Chiguard® 3053, or with acid catalysts, or containing transition metal ions... In addition, Chiguard® 5400WB has excellent light resistance and durability, and is particularly suitable for water-based coating applications that require long-term weather resistance.

Chiguard® 5400WB has many unique advantages:
● The emulsifier content is extremely low, and it is not easy to cause problems such as foaming and demulsification.
● It can be quickly miscible with water-based resins.
● It does not affect the fluidity of the coating.
● It does not contain resins, diluents and thickeners to avoid compatibility problems.
● It does not contain solvents or film-forming aids.
● It can be miscible with other water-based light stabilizers of Qitai Technology in any proportion to form a uniform emulsion.
Application
Chiguard® 5400WB is suitable for coil coatings, wood coatings, repair coatings, and various industrial coatings based on the following resin systems:
● 1 K polyurethane dispersion
● Water-based alkyd resin
● Water-based melamine-based crosslinker
Storage
If stored at room temperature and the sealing integrity of this product is maintained, the shelf life of this product can reach 12 months from the date of manufacture. Once opened, be sure to lock the lid to prevent moisture evaporation. The storage temperature must not be lower than 10°C or higher than 40°C, otherwise it will have an adverse effect on the quality of this product. If demulsification occurs due to long-term storage, please contact our company for assistance.
