Product Description
GYFTA53 cable is a type of outdoor, armored fiber optic cable designed for long-distance, high-capacity communication networks. It is commonly used in both aerial and underground installations.
Construction Details
- Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP Rod) in center of core as non-metallic strength member
- Loose Tubes made of PBT (High Modulus Plastic) to withstand wide temperature fluctuations
- Tubes and spaces filled with water-resistant jelly compound for moisture protection
- Moisture Resistance GEL prevents longitudinal moisture ingress
- Fiber distribution varies by count (e.g., 24 fiber cable uses 4 tubes with 6 fibers each)
- Tubes bound with cloth binder to maintain circular shape
- APL (Aluminium Plastic Lamination Tape) inner armor for flexibility
- Thin inner sheath extruded over APL
- PSP armor (Plastic Steel Plastic) for radial moisture and crush resistance
- Outer HDPE sheath provides UV protection, rodent resistance, and tensile strength
