The GYTS optical fiber cable features 250µm fiber positioned in a loose tube made of high modulus material, with the loose tube filled with waterproof compound. The cable core centers around a metallic steel wire strength member, with a layer of polyethylene (PE) extruded outside for multi-core fiber cables. Tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact, circular cable core, protected by longitudinally applied corrugated steel tape and filling compound against water ingress, completed with a PE sheath.
