Product Description
All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) cables are a class of fiber-optic cables that facilitate installation without auxiliary messenger wires or support infrastructure. The cable's composition includes central tube(s) filled with optical fibers, enveloped by aramid yarn layers and an outer sheath. The complete dielectric composition makes it ideal for areas with substantial electrical interference, such as near power lines.
ADSS cables are commonly deployed in long-distance, high-voltage applications including overhead power line crossings, railway and highway intersections, and river crossings. The self-supporting feature simplifies installation and reduces costs compared to traditional fiber-optic cables by eliminating additional support structures. ADSS cables also minimize the visual impact of overhead installations.
