All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) fiber-optic cables are designed for installation without the necessity of an additional messenger wire or support system. They possess a central conduit or conduits to hold the optical fibers, which are then wrapped in aramid fiber layers and an outer protective sheath.
The ADSS cables' fully dielectric nature allows for suitable installation in areas with notable electrical interference, such as near power lines. These cables are frequently used for long-distance, high-voltage applications, including spans over power lines, railways, highways, and rivers.
