The All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) fiber-optic cables eliminate the requirement for an additional messenger wire or support system for their installation. They incorporate a central conduit or several conduits to house the optical fibers, followed by a covering of aramid fiber layers and an outer protective sheath.
Due to their fully dielectric properties, ADSS cables are ideal for installation in areas with substantial electrical interference, such as in proximity to power lines. Commonly deployed for long-distance, high-voltage applications like those over power lines, railways, highways, and rivers, ADSS cables' self-supporting attribute facilitates a more straightforward and cost-effective installation process than traditional fiber-optic cables.
