The GYTC8S is a standard self-supporting fiber optic cable designed for outdoor aerial use. Its exceptional moisture and crush resistance also make it suitable for duct and burial applications. The cable features:
- Metallic strength member in a figure-eight strand configuration
- Polyethylene sheathing for durability
- Corrugated steel tape armor for crush and bullet resistance
- Central steel-wire strength member for enhanced tensile strength
- Loose tube and water-blocking system for fiber protection
The Figure 8 non-armoured fiber cable is constructed with high-quality materials including a stranded loose tube for fiber protection, central steel wire reinforcement, core filler compound for shape consistency, structural fillers, and corrosion-resistant steel wire coating.
