ADSS cable is an aerial self-supporting optical fiber cable with loose tubes stranded inside. Fibers are positioned into a loose tube made of high modulus plastics. The tubes are filled with water-resistant jelly and stranded around an FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) central strength member into a compact, circular cable core. After filling with compound, the core is covered with a thin PE inner sheath, followed by a stranded layer of aramid yarns as strength member, and completed with PE or AT (anti-tracking) outer sheath.
