1. Preparation of Powder Coating:

   • Powder coatings are typically composed of resins, pigments, and additives, processed into fine particles.

2. Electrostatic Charging:

   • During the spraying process, the powder coating is charged with static electricity through electrodes inside the spray gun. The gun applies a high voltage (usually between 10kV and 100kV) to charge the powder positively or negatively.

3. Spraying Process:

   • The charged powder coating is ejected through the nozzle, forming a mist. Due to the static electric attraction, the coating particles are drawn to the surface of the workpiece (which is typically grounded or has an opposite charge).

4. Coating Deposition:

   • The powder particles deposit on the surface of the workpiece, forming a uniform coating. The static electric force allows the powder to effectively cover complex shapes, ensuring the integrity and uniformity of the coating.

5. Curing Process:

   • After spraying, the workpiece is placed in a curing oven, usually heated to temperatures between 160°C and 200°C. At this point, the powder coating melts and cross-links, forming a durable coating.
