Description of Air Shock Absorbers

The air suspension system is composed of core components such as air springs (also known as airbags), air compressors, valve blocks, electronic control units (ECUs), and height sensors.
Air springs (Air Spring/Air Bag): They are the key components of the system, typically made of multiple layers of rubber sleeves and filled with compressed air. They undertake the main tasks of supporting the vehicle's weight and absorbing road vibrations.
The air compressor (Compressor) is responsible for pressurizing air and delivering it to the air springs.
The electronic control unit (ECU): It is the brain of the system. It receives signals from height sensors, vehicle speed, acceleration, etc., calculates and controls the operation of the compressor and valve block, and adjusts the air pressure inside the air spring and the damping force of the shock absorber in real time.

Main Functions and Advantages

Air suspension can automatically or manually adjust the vehicle's height and damping firmness based on different road conditions and driving requirements, adapting to various complex terrains and environments and improving the vehicle's maneuverability and stability. For example, at high speeds, air suspension can lower the vehicle's height, reducing wind resistance and improving fuel economy and safety. On bumpy roads, air suspension can raise the vehicle's height, increasing ground clearance and reducing chassis scratches, thereby improving comfort and durability.​
