Working principle

1. Compression stroke: When the vehicle is driving on an uneven road and the wheel is subjected to an upward impact force, the spring of the shock absorber is compressed, and the piston moves downward in the pressure cylinder. At this time, the hydraulic oil in the pressure cylinder flows from the lower chamber to the upper chamber through the flow valve hole on the piston. Due to the throttling effect of the flow valve hole and the internal friction between the oil and the hole wall and the oil molecules, a damping force is generated to hinder the rapid downward movement of the piston, thereby slowing down the compression speed of the spring and absorbing and consuming part of the vibration energy.

2. Extension stroke: When the wheel leaves the uneven road and the spring begins to stretch and return to its original state, the piston moves upward under the action of the spring force. At this time, the hydraulic oil in the upper chamber of the pressure cylinder flows back to the lower chamber through the flow valve hole, and also generates a damping force, which hinders the rapid upward movement of the piston, suppresses the excessive extension and rebound of the spring, and enables the vehicle body to return to its original position smoothly, avoiding excessive bumps and shaking.
