TC TYPE:TC oil seals, also known as lip seals, consist of a metal shell and a flexible lip made of an elastomeric material. The lip is in contact with the shaft and forms a barrier to prevent the ingress of pollutants and the escape of lubricant.TC oil seals are typically used in applications that require medium sealing performance, such as automotive engines, gearboxes and pumps.
Temperatures Of Materials
TC type oil seals are suitable for a wide range of temperatures, generally between - 40°C and 120°C. Different rubber materials have different temperature ranges, for example, Nitrile Rubber (NBR) has a temperature range of - 40℃ to 1020℃ and Fluorine Rubber (FKM) has a temperature range of - 40℃ to 250℃.
- Under high temperature environment, the rubber material of oil seals will gradually aging and soften, resulting in a decline in sealing performance. Therefore, under high temperature working conditions, it is necessary to choose oil seal materials with good high temperature resistance and take appropriate cooling measures.
- Under low temperature environment, the rubber material of oil seal will become stiff and lose elasticity, which will affect the sealing effect. At this time, it is necessary to choose the oil seal material with good low temperature performance, and pay attention to avoid the oil seal being affected by low temperature in the installation process.
