Composition
This type has single lip and one spring, out structure with iron. Used in the occasion of low pressure without dust and pollution.
According to the different use of media, pressure and temperature, choose different materials. Common materials include: NBR, FKM, Silicone and so on.
Characteristics of Materials
- NBR oil seal: good heat resistance, airtightness, abrasion resistance and water resistance are better, strong adhesion. Disadvantages are poor cold and ozone resistance, low strength and elasticity, poor acid resistance, poor electrical insulation, and poor resistance to polar solvents. Temperature range: -20℃~+100℃.
- FKM oil seal: is high temperature resistant; fluorine rubber oil seal with acid and alkali resistance, oil resistance, is oil resistant rubber can also be high temperature resistant oil seal; electrical insulation, mechanical properties, chemical resistance, ozone resistance, atmospheric aging resistance are excellent. Disadvantages are poor processability, poor cold resistance, higher prices, lower elasticity and permeability. Use temperature range: -26℃~+250℃.
- Silicone oil seals: both high temperature resistance, and low temperature resistance, excellent electrical insulation, high stability to thermal oxidation and ozone, but also oil resistance, solvent resistance, chemical resistance and other characteristics. Disadvantages are: lower mechanical strength, oil resistance, solvent resistance and poor acid and alkali resistance, more difficult to vulcanize, higher prices. Use of temperature range: -55 ℃ ~ +225 ℃.
