EC type oil seal is a key component in mechanical equipment. Structurally, it is designed with a rubber-coated metal backbone. The metal skeleton provides the necessary support to ensure that the seal maintains its proper shape during installation and operation. It enhances the mechanical strength of the oil seal, enabling it to withstand pressure and impact. The rubber part of the encapsulated skeleton is in direct contact with the sealing surface. It is elastic and fits well to the shaft to form a tight seal.
In terms of materials, common rubber materials include Nitrile Rubber (NBR), which offers excellent oil resistance and durability for most general industrial applications. Fluorine rubber (FKM) is another option, known for its excellent resistance to high temperatures, oils, and chemicals, making it ideal for harsh operating environments.
 
Uses: Mostly used in gear box and reducer housings to prevent dust and dirt from invading the moving parts. It can also be used in orifices and core ports as well as bearings of oil seals of hydraulic equipment such as engineering machinery, injection molding machinery, industrial industrial machinery, hydraulic presses, forklifts, cranes, crushing hydraulic hammers and so on.
