Manual starters are simple devices operated by hand, featuring buttons or rotary knobs that control connected equipment. When the engine is activated (via button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the battery to the starter motor, engaging the starter drive (Bendix gear system) which connects with the vehicle's flywheel.
The starter motor cranks the engine to initiate combustion in petrol and diesel vehicles. Once the engine runs independently, the mechanism disengages the starter motor from the flywheel.
