When the engine is activated (via button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the battery to the starter motor, activating both the motor and the starter drive (Bendix gear system). The engaged flywheel cranks the engine to initiate combustion. Once running, the system disengages the starter mechanism as the engine becomes self-sustaining.
