Starter Motor Operation
When activated (via stop/start button or ignition key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the vehicle's battery to the starter motor, engaging the starter drive (Bendix gear system) with the engine's flywheel. The starter motor then cranks the engine to initiate combustion. Once running, the mechanism disengages the starter from the flywheel as the engine no longer requires the starter's assistance.
