When activated (via button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid, which transfers power from the battery to the starter motor. This activates the starter drive (Bendix gear), engaging the engine's flywheel. The starter motor cranks the engine to initiate combustion. Once the engine runs independently, the starter disengages automatically.
