Note: Manual starters don't break control circuits during power loss, which may cause automatic restart when power returns.

When the engine is activated (via button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid, which then engages the vehicle's battery and starter motor. The starter motor turns the engine's flywheel via a gear system (starter drive/Bendix), initiating the combustion process. Once the engine is running, the starter motor disengages automatically.
