Manual starters are simple, user-operated devices designed for straightforward motor control. These starters feature a button or rotary knob that manually opens or closes contacts to start or stop connected equipment.
- Safe and economical operation for various applications
- Compact design suitable for space-constrained installations
- Built-in overload protection to prevent motor damage
- Available with multiple enclosure options
- Cost-effective solution with low initial investment
Note: Manual starters do not break control circuits during power loss, which may cause automatic motor restart when power returns. Consider this safety factor for critical applications.
When the engine is activated (via stop/start button or ignition key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the battery to the starter motor, engaging the starter drive (Bendix gear) with the engine's flywheel.
The starter motor cranks the engine to initiate combustion in petrol and diesel engines. Once the engine runs independently, the starter disengages automatically from the flywheel, completing the starting sequence.
