When the engine is activated (via start button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the battery to the starter motor, engaging the starter drive (Bendix gear) which connects with the vehicle's flywheel.

The starter motor cranks the engine to initiate combustion. Once the engine is running independently, the starter mechanism disengages automatically from the flywheel.
