Manual starters are simple, manually-operated devices that control motor operation through a button or rotary knob. When the engine is activated (via start button or key ignition), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the battery to the starter motor, which engages the starter drive (Bendix gear system) and turns the engine's flywheel.
