Starter Motor Operation
When the engine is activated (via stop/start button or traditional key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the vehicle's battery to the starter motor, activating both the motor and the starter drive (Bendix gear system).
The engaged starter motor turns the engine's flywheel, initiating the combustion process in petrol and diesel engines. Once the engine runs independently, the mechanism disengages the starter motor from the flywheel as external power is no longer required.
