About CVD Diamond
CVD diamond (Chemical Vapor Deposition diamond), also known as synthetic or lab-grown diamond, is produced through artificial processes rather than geological formation. Two primary production methods exist:
HPHT Method: Uses high pressure (5 GPa) and high temperature (1500°C) in large presses, offering cost-effective production.
CVD Method: Creates a carbon plasma that deposits diamond atoms onto substrates, operating at lower pressures (under 27 kPa). This method allows for large-area growth, substrate versatility, and precise control over diamond properties.
