1. Strong carrying capacity:

The rated load reaches 2000kg (2 tons), which can lift heavier workpieces, molds, equipment, large parts, raw materials (such as steel coils, profile bundles), etc.

The structural design (columns, cantilevers, slewing mechanisms, foundations) must meet the strength and rigidity requirements of this tonnage.

2. Strong structure and strong rigidity:

Columns: Usually thick-walled seamless steel pipes, large H-shaped steel or box-shaped structures are used, with significantly larger diameter/section dimensions and larger and thicker bottom flanges to ensure overall stability.

Cantilevers: Large I-beams (such as I25a and above), box beams or special heavy-duty composite beams are used, which have strong bending and torsion resistance to ensure minimal deformation under full load.

Slewing mechanism: Use large slewing bearings (bearings) or heavy roller/roller bearing systems, equipped with more powerful drive motors (if electric slewing) or smoother thrust/radial bearings (manual rotation), which can withstand overturning moments and slewing resistance under heavy loads.

3. High foundation requirements:

A stronger and larger concrete foundation is required to withstand huge overturning moments and vertical loads. The depth, area and reinforcement of the foundation must be constructed strictly in accordance with the design requirements, and professional civil engineering design is usually required.

This is one of the most critical and costly links in the installation of a 2-ton cantilever crane, and it is necessary to ensure that the foundation bearing capacity is sufficient.

4. Mainly electric lifting, more power:

Almost all are equipped with electric hoists (chain hoists or wire rope hoists).

Chain electric hoists: Suitable for 2-ton loads, compact structure, light weight, high positioning accuracy, and relatively simple maintenance. The lifting speed is usually slower than that of light hoists (about 1.5-5 meters/minute).

Wire rope electric hoist: Also common in the 2-ton level, with a greater lifting height (up to 20 meters or higher) and a faster lifting speed (up to 8 meters/minute or higher), but a slightly larger structure and heavier deadweight.
