1. Various slewing drive modes:

Electric slewing (more common in heavy-duty): Equipped with a dedicated slewing motor (usually with a reducer), the cantilever is controlled to rotate smoothly and accurately (360° or a limited angle) through buttons or remote control. This is the recommended method for 1-ton level, especially for frequent operations or precise positioning, manual push and turn will be very laborious.

Manual slewing (less used for full load): Rely on manpower to push the cantilever to rotate. Usually designed with low-friction bearings or power-assisting devices (such as balancing weights), but it still requires a lot of effort to push when fully loaded with 1 ton, which is only suitable for infrequent operations or as a low-cost option (operability needs to be carefully evaluated).

2. Extremely high safety requirements:

Overload protection: A necessary load limiter (overload protector) is a key safety device that automatically cuts off the lifting power when the load exceeds 105%-110% of the rated load.

Dual brake system: Electric hoists are usually equipped with dual protection of main brake (motor end) and auxiliary brake (load end).

Limit switch: Ascending and descending limit switches are essential.

Emergency stop button: Set an emergency stop switch on the operating handle or control box.

Structural safety factor: The design safety factor is much higher than that of light equipment, meeting or even exceeding national standards (such as GB/T 3811).

Buffer device: A buffer may be set at the slewing limit to reduce impact.

Regular inspection: As special equipment (usually rated lifting capacity ≥1 ton is subject to supervision, depending on local regulations), it needs to be inspected regularly by professional organizations.

Installation, disassembly and transportation of large molds (injection molds, stamping molds).

Casting and cleaning processes in foundry workshops.

4. Operation and control:

Usually equipped with a wired handle controller (follow-up control) or a more flexible wireless remote control, the operator can operate in a safe position and with the best viewing angle.
