SS304 corrosion resistant pickled stainless steel pipes manufactured to ASTM A312 standards, engineered for demanding oil and gas applications requiring exceptional performance in harsh chemical processing environments.
- Excellent performance in oxidizing environments (atmosphere, freshwater, nitric acid)
- Good resistance to organic acids (acetic acid) and food media
- Limitation: Prone to pitting or stress corrosion in chloride-containing environments (seawater, salt spray) - 316 stainless steel recommended for such conditions
- Medium strength with tensile strength approximately 520-750 MPa
- Significant strength enhancement possible through cold working processes (stamping, drawing)
- High plasticity and toughness suitable for deep drawing, bending, and other forming operations
- High temperature: Oxidation resistance up to 870°C with short-term tolerance to 925°C
- Low temperature: Maintains excellent toughness at cryogenic temperatures down to -196°C
