This electromagnetic or natural gas heated rotary kiln is designed for magnetization roasting of lean iron ore in steel plants and oxidation roasting of chromium and nickel iron ore. Widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, and building materials sectors.
The kiln body is constructed from carbon steel or alloy steel plate with automatic welding. Key components including the wheel belt, support wheel, and open gear are made from alloy cast steel for durability.
Includes slag discharge port, flow ring, gear ring, front end plate, kiln head, kiln tail, front bearing seat, and reduction box.
- Verify sealing device integrity and connection tightness
- Check blower gate switch and air door position
- Inspect transmission parts, support wheel, and retaining wheel
- Confirm auxiliary machines are operational
- Ensure adequate raw material and coal powder supply
- New kiln linings require baking with 1/4 rotation every 30 minutes
- No personnel on kiln mouth platform during ignition
- Regularly monitor rotating parts for abnormal sounds/vibration
- Check instrument readings and indicator lights continuously
- Maintain proper lubrication schedule for all components
- Clear materials from kiln head before temporary shutdown
- Regularly rotate kiln during shutdown to prevent cylinder deformation
- Empty feed bins and coal bins before major repairs
- Reset all speed regulating devices to zero after shutdown
- Cut power and display warning signs during maintenance
- Complete full inspection post-maintenance before restart
- Keep machine body and surrounding area clean
The main drive motor transmits power through the reducer to the open gear, rotating the kiln. Materials enter from the kiln tail, rolling circumferentially while moving axially due to the cylinder's tilt. Processed materials exit through the kiln head to the cooler, while combustion exhaust exits at the kiln tail after heat exchange.
