Product Overview
The ISO 5660 Cone Calorimeter is a precision laboratory instrument designed to measure heat release rate (HRR), smoke production, ignition time, oxygen consumption, and combustion gas generation for building materials and other specimens exposed to controlled radiant heating.
Operating Principle
Based on the oxygen consumption calorimetry principle, the instrument calculates heat release using the established correlation that 13.1 MJ of energy is released per kilogram of oxygen consumed during combustion.
