IEC 60754 Cable Release Gas Halogen Acid Conductivity Tester
The IEC 60754 Cable Release Gas Halogen Acid Conductivity Tester is a precision instrument designed to evaluate gases released when non-metallic cable materials burn. Compliant with IEC 60754-1 and IEC 60754-2 international standards, this device verifies fire safety of low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) cables by burning 1g samples at 800°C (halogen acid gas content) or 950°C (acidity and conductivity). It integrates tube furnace, gas collection system, pH meter, and conductivity meter with automatic temperature control and data recording.
Compliance Standards
IEC 60754-1: Halogen Acid Gas Content
Determines halogen acid gases released during combustion of cable materials at 800°C ± 10°C. Measures total halogen acid gas content in mg/g, with typical requirement of ≤ 5 mg/g for halogen-free cables.
IEC 60754-2: Acidity and Conductivity
Evaluates acidity and corrosiveness of combustion gases at 950°C ± 10°C. Measures pH value (≥ 4.3) and conductivity (≤ 10 µS/mm) for low smoke zero halogen cable materials.
Testing Applications
Suitable for insulation layers, sheath layers, and polymer-based materials in wires and cables. Ideal for performance verification of LSZH cables in construction, railways, ships, data centers, and other high fire safety environments.
