Product Description
BS6387 Fire Resistance Tester for LSZH and MICC Cables
The BS 6387:2013 Cable Fire Resistance, Hammer and Spray Tester is a comprehensive testing system designed to evaluate circuit integrity of fire-resistant cables under extreme conditions. This all-in-one machine performs three critical tests (CWZ) to ensure cables maintain functionality during fires.
Key Testing Capabilities
Category C - Fire Resistance Test
- 950°C ± 40°C propane flame for 3 hours
- Tests cable circuit integrity under sustained high temperature
- Ensures no short circuits or breaks during extended fire exposure
Category W - Fire and Water Spray Test
- 650°C ± 40°C flame for 15 minutes + water spray for 15 minutes
- Water spray rate: 0.25-0.30 L/m²/s
- Simulates fire sprinkler system activation scenarios
Category Z - Fire and Mechanical Impact Test
- 950°C ± 40°C flame for 15 minutes
- Mechanical impact every 30 seconds using 25mm steel rod
- Tests cable durability under physical stress during fires
